Thank you for choosing to work with us, it is our pleasure to showcase your pieces in our shop. Supporting local makers, collectors, and neighbours is why we do what we do, and we truly appreciate you choosing Oak & Fern Home as your selling partner.

As we grow, we’ve updated our consignment terms and want to clearly outline your options for any items consigned.

 

Consignment Terms

All consignment sales will reflect a 50/50 revenue split on sold items. This replaces previous consignment terms and better reflects the collaborative nature of our small business model.

 

Options for Unsold Consignment Items

Please choose one of the following for any unsold items:

1.           Pickup – We will schedule a convenient pickup time for you.

2.           Donation - We can transfer your items to Community Roots Society on your behalf. You will receive a letter of acknowledgement, not a tax receipt, as the organization is not currently a registered charity with the CRA. Or The Daisy in Bridgewater which we cannot offer a letter of acknowledgement.

3.           Buyout - For select items, we may offer a buyout price based on condition and resale value. Accepting a buyout offer is completely optional.

 

Letters of Acknowledgement for Donations

If you choose to donate items to Community Roots Society, a local non-profit in Mahone Bay, we will coordinate the transfer for you, and the organization will issue a letter of acknowledgement confirming your donation. These letters serve as confirmation only and are not tax-deductible donation receipts for income tax credit purposes.

After your choice is received, we will:

  • Schedule pickup,

  • Coordinate donation transfer, or

  • Provide buyout pricing for review where applicable.

 

Please Note

  • Items without a confirmed selection date will be stored for 30 days pending pickup.

  • Extended storage may incur holding fees unless arranged in advance.

  • Donations are voluntary and are not part of any taxable refund, benefit, or service exchange.
